The Master of Arts in Translation Studies at the University of Massachuestts Amherst is a special track within the Comparative Literature Department. The program covers both theory and practice, with an emphasis on literary and cultural studies. Requirements include twelve credits in translation; 33 credits total; a final exam; and an MA thesis. The courses are multilingual; students work in English and one other language. The faculty includes Maria Tymoczko and Edwin Gentzler.
