The 2012 version of the Ragazzini Italian <-> English dictionary includes many new additions to its already vast content. The dictionary now includes over 400,000 words and expressions, 4,300 essential words in English, 4,400 essentialvvv words in Italian, 120,000 technical terms and 3,000 phrasal verbs.
This new version, apart from incorporating terminology relating to transport, sport, the human body and space, now includes many new terms used in ecology, science and journalism and many new idiomatic expressions.
This edition benefits from collaboration with Chambers (UK) and from the updating of the Italian monolingual dictionary 'Lo Zingarelli' which have facilitated the addition of new words and their translation in both languages.
The CD-ROM incorporates pronunciation of English headwords and of over 2,000 expressions used in everyday English.

The software can be launched directly from the CD-ROM without first installing it on your hard drive. If you choose to install it on your hard drive, the CD-ROM only needs to be present when you start the program.
The software will also work on Apple computers with an Intel processor and a Windows operating system if the program is launched from a Windows partition created with Apple Boot Camp. There is however no guarantee that the software will work with Parallels Desktop.
